We understand that switching banks can be a difficult transition.  That’s why we’ve created this Switch Kit to make moving your account as easy and convenient as possible.  Simply fill out the Customer Profile forms and bring them to your nearest Valley Bank branch and one of our customer service representatives will be happy to assist you throughout this process. 

The “Easy as Pie” Recipe to switch to Valley Bank

  

Ingredients:

  • Payroll Direct Deposit Authorization Form
  • Automatic Payment Change Form
  • Account Closure Form
  • Direct Deposit Information Sheets
  • Roanoke Valley Utility Information Sheets
Directions:
  1. Open your new account with Valley Bank.
  2. Stop using your old account immediately.
  3. Change all of your direct deposits and automatic payments using the forms given in the packet or by contacting the company.Close your old account at your former bank!

It’s “EASY AS PIE” to enroll in Valley Bank’s online internet banking to be able to access all of your accounts and loans.  Just follow these step-by-step instructions and your personal computer can be transformed into a branch office of Valley Bank.

First time sign on registration:

  • Enter www.myvalleybank.com on your favorite search engine to access Valley Bank’s homepage.

  • Click on the “Personal Banking Login” button at the top of the homepage.

  • Click “OK” on the security alert pop-up box.

  • Click on the red box to the left of the screen labeled “New User Click Here.”

  • Enter your email address, primary account number, primary account type (checking, savings), and the last 4 digits of your social security number where indicated on the screen and click on the submit button.

  • Select an “Access ID” which will be used for all future access.  The Access ID must consist of a minimum of 6 characters in length and is case sensitive (upper or lower case letters).  Enter your Access ID where indicated on the screen.
  • Select a “Password” which will be used for all future access.  The Password must be between 8 and 10 characters in length and must contain at least 5 alpha (a, b, c), 2 numeric (1, 2, 3), and 1 special (! @ #) character and is case sensitive (upper or lower case letters).  Enter your Password where indicated on the screen.

●    For added security - A secret image and caption will appear - you will select your own secret image and set-up an image caption. We will always display your image and image caption before you are asked to enter your password on our website.

●    Multi-Layer Security: This new authentication method allows the security system to authenticate your computer in order to ensure that the sign-in is not a fraudulent attempt to access your account information.

●    Three Challenge Questions: In addition, upon your first login of the new system, you will be asked to set up three challenge questions that will be used for verification purposes if the security system does not recognize your computer.

  • Re-enter your Password where indicated on the screen to confirm your Password.
  • Click on the submit button.

The “List of Accounts” screen will appear.  At this point, you can select which account you would like to access to review your balance, transfer funds, review your account statement and more.

To register for Valley Bank’s online bill pay, simply log off by clicking the “Log Off” button and sign in again by entering your “Access ID” and “Password” in the Log In section.  Click on the “PAY BILLS” button and follow the instructions given.

To end your Valley Bank online banking session, simply click of the “Log Off” button to return to the homepage.

VALLEY’S BEST PEACH PIE

9”Deep Dish Pie Shell
Refrigerated Pie Crust

Filling:
3 pounds ripe, firm peaches (about 8 large peaches)
½ cup plus 1 Tablespoon sugar
2 Tablespoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons finely grated lemon zest
1 Tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
Pinch of Salt

1. Preheat oven to 425

2. Peel, pit and slice the peaches
In a medium bowl, stir together the ½ c. sugar, cornstarch,
lemon zest, lemon juice & salt. Add the peaches and toss to coat them.

3. Sprinkle the crust with a
Tablespoon of sugar. Add filling
to unbaked crust, add top crust.

4. Place pie on a baking sheet and
bake on the bottom oven rack for
40-50 minutes, til top crust is golden brown.
