Valley Bank supports Arts and Culture, Community Ventures, and Economic Development in the Roanoke Valley MILL MOUNTAIN THEATRE VALLEY BANK - A PROUD SUPPORTER OF MILL MOUNTAIN THEATRE’S DRAMA ENRICHMENT AND OUTREACH PROGRAMS Valley Bank is proud to be a supporter of ‘Cork & Curtain’, Mill Mountian Theatre’s annual Fundraiser in September. This event helps MMT reach 30,000 students and educators with their touring productions through their Drama Enrichment and Outreach Programs. Mill Mountain Theatre’s mission is to provide high quality theatre, as well as educational and outreach programs in the performing arts, to Southwest Virginia. What began in 1964 as a summer stock theater in a vacant resort inn on the highest point in Roanoke dubbed as the Mill Mountain Playhouse evolved in to Mill Mountain Theatre in 1983 at Center in the Square. Mill Mountain Theatre has created almost 400 productions, including world premieres and regional premieres in its almost 40 years. In addition to the numerous plays shown on the Waldron Stage, Trinkle Main Stage and the Norfolk Southern Festival of New Works at MMT, a wide array of summer camps for children and adults are offered.
